Ferrari Beverly Hills is proud to present this 2009 Ferrari 430 Scuderia Spider 16M, one of just 499 examples produced worldwide and among the most significant Ferraris of the modern era. Finished in Nero over a fully bespoke Alcantara Nera interior, this example was delivered new to Ferrari of San Francisco in September 2009 and has accumulated 12,720 miles across three owners, with the most recent ownership spanning over a decade.
The 430 Scuderia Spider 16M was built to commemorate Ferrari's 16th Formula 1 Constructors' Championship, with production strictly limited to 499 units worldwide — all pre-sold to selected clients before a single car was delivered. It was the first open-top variant of the 430 Scuderia, powered by a 4.3-liter naturally aspirated V8 producing 503 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and paired with the F1-SuperFast2 single-clutch gearbox. Few road cars of any era match the sensory intensity of this engine at full throttle — the combination of instantaneous throttle response, the brutality of the single-clutch F1 gearbox, and the visceral roar produced by the engine create a driving experience that can never be repeated with modern regulations. It remains the last naturally aspirated, hydraulic-steering Ferrari convertible.
This 16M wears its factory tricolore livery stripe in a custom black, silver, and gray palette — a non-standard color execution of the signature stripe configuration, lending the car a cohesive monochromatic presence in place of the more common Italian tricolore treatment. The carbon fiber vehicle package is fitted alongside the factory carbon fiber under-door rocker trim, and brake calipers are finished in Aluminio, perfectly complimenting the exterior color scheme. Inside, the cabin is trimmed in Alcantara Nera with dark gray stitching, a white instrument panel, gray T3D1 fabric at the seat centers and headliner, and carbon fiber racing seats in the large configuration — the correct Scuderia interior, here carried out in a palette consistent with the exterior configuration.
Prior to being offered for sale, this 16M was subjected to a comprehensive mechanical inspection by Ferrari Beverly Hills, with all identified items addressed — among them a complete clutch assembly replacement including flywheel, F1 hydraulic lines, valve cover gaskets, interior button refinishing, and more. Coming out of a 10+ year ownership, the car is now ready to be enjoyed by a discerning collector with full confidence that the mechanical groundwork has been laid properly — not as a matter of necessity, but of commitment to the standard this automobile deserves.
